GARDENING

Gardening is an essential skill to have in a Long Term Emergency situation.  It is also a skill that can bring your family highly nutritious food that may otherwise be unavailable.  It doesn't matter how old or young you are, or how large or small the area you have to work with.  Even if all you have is a window sill in your apartment, you can grow a garden.

During times of hardship or of plenty, gardening can bring you hours of joy and satisfaction.  This section covers a variety of gardening information for the beginning and veteran gardener. Use this information to get started in gardening or to brush up on your skills. The information available on the Internet and libraries is almost endless, so don't stop here.

Note:  Some of the growing information may not work in the area you live.  Check for fruits and vegetables that can be grown in the climate you live.
